Wow !! What a nice place in Bristol ! I came here because of the Balloon Feista, watch the mass balloon in the sky but unfortunately it was cancelled due to the weather. I saw a few when I walked up to the hill. It is a good scenery when you take the bridge photo. Will come back next year and go for the morning session !
We had our 25th wedding anniversary party here on a Saturday evening in June. I can't recommend the venue enough, the building is lovely. The venue staff looked after us and our guests so well. Nick on the door welcomed everyone and ensured everyone knew where to go upstairs. We could use both downstairs and the roof area, both have bars. The roof has the most stunning views of the suspension bridge. We had arranged a band and caterers and they were able to arrive early so they were all set up when we arrived. The arrangements were smooth, staff played our Spotify playlist to start and end the evening. Thank you to venue staff.
Great morning spent at the Observatory. We started with coffee and pastries at the cafe which was lovely. Fab views of Avon Gorge and the Clifton Suspension bridge. We bought a combined ticket to go down into the Giants Cave and up the tower to the Camera Obscura. Great location and really good value for money for a meeting of friends today.
Well worth the visit. You get some amazing views for the bridge. The cave at the bottom is incredibly steep going down and the same way back. The helmets provided are essential if you are off average height or taller. It's a great view at the bottom but remember you have to go back up! The obscura is quite impressive too!
Amazing, amazing place. Top of the observatory is the camera obscura, a phenomenal piece of ingenuity offering 360 degree views of Bristol and the Clifton suspension bridge. The giants cave allows views of the bridge from within the gorge face, although it's ironically named since the access is steep, narrow and sometimes slippery, but 100% worth the effort. On top of all that, it only costs £5 for full access to the camera and cave, absolute bargain.
