Beaufort House was just perfect for our family's sorry trip to visit Bristol. From start to finish everything was great and could not ask for more from an apartment.
Lovely garden apartment which we used during our stay, good location, Very quiet surroundings. Would definitely book again
We stayed for a long weekend in a Superior Two-Bedroom Apartment on the ground floor, and we honestly couldn't have been happier with our stay. The apartment was beautiful, spacious and spotlessly clean. The open-plan lounge and kitchen were very spacious, and the kitchen was exceptionally well equipped. The en-suite has a shower, while the main bathroom has both a shower and a bathtub. The building itself is beautiful and located in a lovely, peaceful neighbourhood. Both bedrooms had fans. We also noticed the large heating panels throughout the apartment, so I imagine it would be equally comfortable in winter. Communication before arrival was excellent. The instructions for key collection, parking, bins and the apartment were clear and easy to follow. Everything worked exactly as described. The only thing worth mentioning is that if you sleep with the windows open, you may occasionally hear the local birds early in the morning - particularly the seagulls. Before our trip I read every review I could find, so I'd like to comment on a few of the recurring points raised by previous reviewers. Fire doors The heavy internal doors are fire doors (apart from the bathroom doors), designed to slow the spread of fire and potentially save lives. Yes, they are heavy, but they save lives in case of a fire. 2 doorstops are provided (under the kitchen sink) if you want to keep them open while airing the apartment. (We took a 3rd one with us for the lounge.) Bathroom lights The bathroom lights and extractor fans are motion-activated. The lights are bright, but we didn't find them disruptive at night, and everything switches off automatically a short time after you leave. Toiletries Some reviews mentioned a lack of toiletries/supplies, but we found the starter pack extremely generous for a serviced apartment. We had 4 toilet rolls (for 2 nights/2 persons); 12 body/hair washes; tea, coffee and biscuits; cleaning supplies, dishwasher and laundry tablets, plus an iron, ironing board, hairdryer (in the bedroom; nightstand top drawer) and a very well-equipped kitchen. We genuinely didn't miss anything. Smell One review mentioned an unpleasant smell in the hallway, but we only noticed a fresh, clean scent (although we didn't use the upper floors). Privacy We had complete privacy. Every window had curtains or blinds. The folding blinds take slightly longer to operate than roller blinds, and the pull cord is positioned fairly high, so shorter guests or some wheelchair users may find it difficult to reach. It wasn't an issue for us, but it's useful to know. The lounge has beautiful wooden blinds that blend so well with the windows that they're easy to overlook; I wonder whether the reviewer who mentioned a lack of privacy simply didn't realise they were there. Shower shelf The en-suite shower doesn't have a shelf, although the main bathroom does. We simply used a small hanging shower basket. Towels The towels were perfectly normal for UK accommodation; clean, decent quality and absolutely fit for purpose. They're not oversized luxury spa towels, but there was certainly nothing wrong with them. Parking We parked free of charge in the designated spaces behind the building after booking in advance. I'm not sure whether this was because we booked directly through Your Stay or because we were only staying over a weekend, but it's worth checking before booking, as some third-party booking sites appear to charge quite a lot for parking. Just remember to return the laminated parking permit to avoid the replacement charge (£25). The only extras I'd suggest bringing are a kitchen roll, napkins, an extra doorstop, slippers if you don't like walking barefoot on carpet, and perhaps some baking paper if you plan to use the oven. Overall, this was one of the nicest serviced apartments we've stayed in. It was quiet, comfortable, beautifully maintained and thoughtfully equipped. Everything was exactly as advertised, and we'd happily stay here again without hesitation.
We (family of 4) stayed here from 10th to 18th April. The neighborhood is peaceful and serene, and the apartment is at a walking distance from the cafés- which is great. The lodging was clean and well heated, with all amenities provided. Overall, our stay was absolutely wonderful; would definitely recommend.
