We were actually heading somewhere else when the rain started, so we ducked into this restaurant on a whim. What a fabulous find! A proper old-fashioned Italian restaurant serving simple, delicious food that tasted like it came straight from Nonna's kitchen. The warm, friendly service made the experience even better. I can completely understand why it was so busy on a Monday evening. Highly recommended – we'll definitely be back
Look no further for proper authentic Italian cuisine. Have enjoyed my food every single time as the ingredients are so fresh and flavourful. I personally love the Bruschetta with roasted peppers for a starter, either a steak or fish pasta for mains, although my Dad had a Beef Stroganoff which was top notch, followed by the Tiramisu. The specials are always appealing usually consisting of a range of fresh fish.
Wow just wow the monkfish was cooked to perfection melted in your mouth!! Lamb cutlets was amazing aswell If your in Bristol come to this little restaurant for lovely food Find this place by luck !!
Lovely traditional Italian with a cosy atmosphere. Service is really polite and excellent and the food was of a very high standard. My husband said the lasagne was so good he was still thinking about it two days later and I had a very tasty prawn pasta dish - lovely fresh prawns, wellseasoned. There's a great range of fish on the Specials Board I'd certainly like to try the fish next time. I feel we discovered something a bit special when we came here. Great value.
The second time I've been to Guiseppes and the service was excellent both times. The food was quick and tasty. I had the melanzna parmigiana, Monkfish special and the sauteed potatoes. The melanzna parmigiana was a traditional one (not really to my taste, I prefer the unbattered version) and was tasty with battered aubergine and a rich tomato sauce. The monkfish was very nice done with courgette, cherry tomatoes, Basil and a metric ton of garlic. I love garlic so this was right up my street. The sauteed potatoes were delicious, crispy and seasoned well. Prices were slightly on the steeper side but the food was good and service excellent.
