Amazing view from the terrace outside. We were early, which was lucky as you'd normally have to book this place. The muscles were great, definitely worth a recommendation!

Great atmosphere overlooking the canal and the church. Best to sit outside. Food is average at best and portions very small. I have never had such a small portion of fish & chips any where before. The peas were not mushy and very dry. Chips were not warm enough. Sane problem with linguine being small portion. They could add some more pasta. Even tiramisu was child portion. Sticky toffee pudding had a strange taste. The service was not great either. They forgot some drinks and mistakenly added an extra linguini to the bill. Checking your bill is highly recommended. On the positive side, we were offered a free bottle of prosecco as a graduation day deal. Overall, not great value.

Can't fault it. Went on hottest day of the year ( l would seriously book a table in advance if you want the riverside terrace). Lovely views over the river thr terrace was very relaxing. Staff were attentive and friendly. As for food quite frankly is was lovely, well cooked and presented. The portions were of a good size and I can say I did not leave feeling hungry. I had the cured monkfish which was lovely and fresh and was basically an en enjoyable experience. The tuna nicoise was lovely and a very good piece of tuna. My wife's seafood linguine was packed with seafood. A very good experience.

Amazing food, gluten free option available. Tired the gluten free fish and chips and roast with lamb shank! Love the view at the balcony as well.

Step inside and you’re greeted by a beautifully styled interior—tastefully adorned with charming details that strike a perfect balance between elegance and comfort. Despite its generous size, the space feels wonderfully intimate, wrapping you in a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. We chose to sit in the outdoor area, a delightful spot for a leisurely lunch. Although there is a designated smoking section, our waiter Ryan thoughtfully seated us far enough away to ensure it didn’t interfere with our enjoyment—a small touch that made a big difference. The Sunday roast was nothing short of exceptional, ticking every box of what a proper roast should be. The roast beef was succulent and full of flavor, paired with perfectly crisp potatoes and a medley of vegetables cooked to tender perfection. A standout was the cauliflower cheese—rich, creamy, and indulgent—easily one of the best I’ve ever tasted in a restaurant. Dining on the outdoor deck, overlooking the tranquil canal, added a serene backdrop to the meal. The atmosphere was calm and unhurried, complemented by a thoughtfully curated wine selection. The fresh English mustard and horseradish brought a fiery kick—bold, punchy, and wonderfully invigorating. Everything arrived seamlessly, allowing us to relax and savor each bite in a setting that felt both refined and effortlessly laid-back.
