Coming from Oxford, we thought we would have a lovely bit of pre-rave pie with the bottomless brunch! The team were friendly and we left rather tipsy. Which is what you’d expect! The value for money is definitely there aswell as the service as there was no hesitation to keep us drinking! The atmosphere was nice and the waiting team wouldn’t be against having a laugh. I would always recommend for anyone who’d love a good pie and some casual drinks!
Had the bottomless brunch which was amazing value for money! The food was brilliant and always a great selection of gluten free pies and food. Drink selection was also really good considering it's bottomless brunch too. We were served mostly by Andrew who was always on hand with more drinks and was very fast and friendly! It felt like they really cared about us getting the most out if it and enjoying it. Would definitely recommend and be back soon!
We randomly stumbled upon this place while visiting Bristol and it turned out to be an excellent choice. The pie was delicious, the gravy smooth and rich, and the starter was really good. But the highlight was the stunning toffee pudding dessert, we couldn’t decide between ice cream or custard, but the lovely staff member Dylan made it happen with half of each. We were thrilled! Pretty disappointed tbf, liked their pies in various places over the years but first time in an actual restaurant of theirs. Hopeless long list of items not available including the draft beer but seeing its Camden beer didn't miss much. The post industrial shabby look didn't work for me and just seemed tired and dirty. But the food- really below par. Stodgy pie, nothing flaky pastry like here , not overly hot either. Mash that you could use for bricks, cold peas. No check back so couldn't really raise it, just ate and left. Never again here, owner needs to review this store Operationally asap
February 28th, 14:00. I went in without knowing what kind of place. Apparently it turned out to be a pie specialty shop. I asked the staff, and they kindly helped me choose the pie I liked. He even asked me, "How's the taste?" and he were very kind and nice. I ordered chicken pie and cranberry juice. It was carefully simmered in a rich white sauce with plenty of slow-cooked chicken and mushrooms. Rich, yet not too heavy, cream. Wrapped in a fragrant pie and baked. The accompanying demi-glace sauce had a hint of red wine, a rich, adult flavor that wasn't too sweet. When eaten with the pie, it instantly transformed into a Western-style pie, creating a revolutionary taste. I recommend trying the pie on its own, without the sauce. Also, personally, the green peas were the most delicious I have ever eaten.
