The Berkeley

Located in a former shopping arcade, which included Berkeley Tea Rooms, this J.D. Weatherspoons pub has a fantastic interior. Its high ceilings and the beautiful, domed, stained glass window in the main seating area take you right back to a bygone era when gentile ladies sipped afternoon tea here. The menu offers standard pub food including steaks, burgers, jacket potatoes and pasta dishes as well as choices for vegetarians. The prices are extremely reasonable making it a great choice for anyone on a budget.

The bar serves an extensive range of real ales - a choice of 8 on my last visit including Wooden Hand Pirate's gold, Acorn Old Moor Porter and Brains Clock Tower. In the evenings this bar is very popular with students.
