Bit of a walk for us but worth it. Nice friendly little place with food. Again disappointed more of the Bristol Beer Factory ales were not available in cans. Food was ok, we reordered the marmite fries we had in the Junction only to be disappointed, there needs to be a bit more consistency between the BBF kitchens. The nacho burger was pleasant enough but odd, probably would not have ordered sober!
I would like to give this pub 5*. It certainly is for its beer, but the food offer and quality was poor when we had lunch here on Saturday. The veggie sausage was inedible, the other food ok only. Great beer though!
Nice more indy quirky pub with decent range of options, mainly BBF but lots of others. Plenty of vegan beer options too, just wish they marked them as such (they do for GF) so had to Barnivore a few. Their own ales are not vegan friendly but to their credit they had another that is and most of the kegs were fine Loved the vegan Sunday roast and lovely team here
Lovely, friendly and chatty staff, gorgeous food and such a nice atmosphere. I had the pork belly which was absolutely amazing with the best crackling, perfectly cooked with beautiful veg on the side, and the apple sauce was unreal. The wine was great too. Loved it so much we’ve already booked again for next weekend!
Thoroughly enjoyed this pretty little pub. I r always known about it but never gone in. But as I live close I wanted to try it out. I had also heard great things about the roast. We had the salt marsh lamb roast, and it was full of flavour and texture. Beautifully put together with all the items one would expect and hope for in a roast. We added the cauliflower cheese to share which was enough for two. Lovely rich gravy and well made roasters also. I’m not big on desserts lately but was encouraged by my wife to share her sticky toffee pudding. Which was covered in a burbon and toffee sauce and topped with clotted cream vanilla icecream. This was washed down with a non alcoholic milk stout, which I found surprisingly delicious, as I quit booze a month ago. I shall return for sure.
