Striking spot in Bedminster. Some of the best food I’ve ever had. Those beef cheeks were amazing. And loved the crème brûlée! Great service and nice wines. All round a good experience. A bit pricey but I’d say worth the money.
New favorite restaurant alert. We did chicken & sesame toast to start, BBQ gurnard with delica pumpkin butter sauce and tempura mussels for one main, roasted aubergine with bazlama bread, baba ganoush and harissa for the other, confit potatoes with ancho chilli and aioli on the side, and finished with a sourdough doughnut and apple crumble crème brûlée. Every single dish was incredible and somehow all completely different from each other but felt like they belonged together — like chapters in a book. The vibe is intimate and bright without being pretentious, service was warm and attentive, and the drinks (margaritas on the rocks, orange wine, riesling) tied the whole thing together perfectly. Highly highly recommend
We really liked Other, we tried the mullet tempura, the chicken on toast, smoked beef, confit potatoes, roasted carrots, and the crème brûlée. The tempura was excellent, a very interesting combination with sweet and hot chili. The beef was also very tasty. I give only 4 stars because some dishes were maybe a bit too rich.. Love the interiors, service was good as well. Recommended
Every time I eat here the food and the service is immaculate. Zak takes so much care with his ingredients and flavour combinations, plus the smoking/cooking of the meat is always perfect. I love when chefs can pull off the balance between interesting and comforting. The service, headed up by Emma, is always so welcoming but not over done. This is one of my favourite restaurants in Bristol, and amazing value for money for the standard. Oh, and the doughnuts ARE that good. Get them, no matter how full you are.
I had dinner here last night and it was absolutely delicious!! I love the vibe and decor at Other, it feels super modern and fun. The staff were great, we were served by one of the owners, Emma, who was super friendly and attentive. The menu feels really creative and everything we ordered tasted amazing! Service was also really quick, even on a Saturday evening!
