Food was very delicious and flavourful. Very friendly staff. We were served today by Merika who was lovely! Thoroughly enjoyed and will definitely recommend to other people and come again!!!!
I went to Yakinori recently and honestly it was a really enjoyable experience from start to finish. First thing that stood out to me is that the place is halal, which already makes it a great option if you are looking for Japanese style food without worrying about what you are eating. It is always nice finding a spot where you can just relax and enjoy the food without double checking everything on the menu. Service was amazing, especially from Noah. He really made the visit better. From the moment we walked in he was friendly, welcoming, and actually took the time to talk to us instead of just taking the order and walking off. He checked in at the right times, made sure everything was alright, and had a really relaxed and professional attitude. You can tell when someone genuinely cares about customer service and Noah definitely did. Me and my friend both noticed it and appreciated it a lot. That kind of service makes you want to come back again. For food I got the teriyaki soba with Peking duck and honestly it was beautiful. The soba noodles were cooked just right, soft but still had a bit of bite to them, and they soaked up the teriyaki sauce really well. The teriyaki flavour was rich and slightly sweet with that savoury kick that keeps you going back for another bite. The Peking duck was the real highlight though. It was tender, juicy, and had that deep roasted flavour that worked perfectly with the noodles. Every forkful had a nice balance of sauce, noodles, and duck, and nothing felt dry or bland. It was one of those dishes where you slow down a bit just to enjoy it properly because the flavour is that good. I also tried the teriyaki squid balls and they were delicious. The outside had a nice light crisp to it while the inside was soft and packed with flavour. The squid taste was not overpowering and blended nicely with the teriyaki sauce, giving it a slightly sweet and savoury taste that worked really well. They were bite sized, easy to eat, and honestly quite addictive. Perfect as a side while waiting for the main or even just to share with someone. You could tell they were freshly made and not just thrown together. The restaurant itself is also nicely designed. It has a cool modern Japanese vibe with clean seating, warm lighting, and a relaxed atmosphere that makes it feel comfortable to sit and eat for a while. The decor is simple but stylish, and it gives off that casual dining energy where you can go with friends, family, or even just chill and eat on your own. It does not feel cramped or rushed which makes the whole experience better. Overall Yakinori was a really solid experience. Good halal food, amazing service from Noah, tasty teriyaki soba with Peking duck, delicious squid balls, and a cool looking restaurant. Definitely a place worth visiting if you want good Japanese food and a relaxed atmosphere.
Lovely food, very clean place over all and the staff were very nice. It was very quiet during my visit (11:30ish on a Saturday morning) which was a pleasant surprise. A little pricey but very good portion sizes. I wouldn't hesitate to go back again.
Incredible food! 🍱 I would definitely recommend this place, kitchen is open and on show - which is always a positive. Chicken Firecracker (double) Beef udon Chicken katsu (double) Teriyaki duck bao buns Tempura fries Broccoli Half sushi roll
