My son stayed here whilst visiting his family. He was extremely impressed with the comfiness of the bed and how well he slept. His favourite part was the exceptional breakfast. A 6’2” boy having hollow legs, he was pleasantly adequately filled with a good substantial meal. He said it was in easy walking distance of where he needed to go. The staff were all extremely helpful and friendly making him feel at ease. He would definitely stay again and recommend. Thank you for an excellent stay. 🤗
Fantastic stay! The hotel was spotlessly clean throughout, with comfortable and very well-maintained rooms. The breakfast was excellent, offering a great selection of both hot and cold options, along with very good coffee to start the day. The location was ideal, with excellent transport connections and easy access to local attractions. What really made the stay stand out, however, was the reception team. Every member of staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout my visit. I would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Bristol.
I stay at The Washington quite often because it is relaxing and friendly and a perfect location. The staff are all excellent. Katia, Yanna and Samaya on reception are super efficient and charming. Zigita always provides excellent cleanliness and comfort in the rooms. The breakfast staff are equally friendly and helpful and the breakfast is delicious. I always have a good rest and enjoy my stay. It is excellent value for money.
We arrived at the Washington Guest House for our visit to St George's Theatre. The guest house is in a nice central location for this venue. There is very limited parking available on site; however, the guest house provides parking permits for nearby side street parking. We were greeted at reception by a very pleasant young lady who checked us into our room. Although the building is a little tired in places, our room was clean and presentable. Guests should be aware that there are many steps throughout the property, so it may not be best suited for people with mobility issues. The breakfast area was nicely laid out, offering a selection of cereals, cheeses, meats, various yoghurts, and a traditional English breakfast. There were a couple of minor issues: no teaspoons were available or plates for the toast, so we had to ask for them. The young lady serving breakfast was friendly and helpful. The kitchen and waiting staff should be aware that guests can hear all the laughing, joking, and general tomfoolery coming from the kitchen area. Perhaps some background music in the dining room would help to soften this. Overall, it was a pleasant and comfortable stay.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I couldn’t speak more highly of The Washington Hotel! I’ve been a regular guest at the Washington for a year now and I wouldn’t think of staying anywhere else in Bristol. The staff are fantastic, friendly and always do everything they can to make your stay brilliant. The location is fantastic; it’s walking distance to the city centre, Clifton village, and the local university. It is surrounded by good bars and restaurants and you’re going further out there are bus stops and train stations nearby. The rooms are really comfortable and always immaculate. Very comfortable beds, big radiators for the winter and big windows that can be opened for the summer (anyone who has stayed in stuffy hotel rooms with sealed windows will understand how lovely this is). The rooms include a decent hairdryer, TV with Freeview channels, good size dressing tables, shower gel, shampoo, a selection of teas, coffees, biscuits and fresh fruit. Also every stay includes a cooked breakfast, which has always lovely and again the staff are wonderful! The rooms are cheap, especially for the location! They also guarantee to price match to the best rates available online to always ensure you’re getting the best deals by booking directly. They also offer fantastic corporate rates for regular guests and free cancellation 24hours before your stay if needed. Genuinely couldn’t be happier with my stays with them and would recommend to anyone who regularly stays for work or is planning a trip to Bristol!
