Amazing food at Pho- spoilt for choice! Our server Laila was lovely- very helpful and made recommendations. Service was just the right amount of time- so you know that everything is fresh! Would thoroughly recommend!
Visited on Wednesday for my partner’s birthday. The juice was good, and the food was decent overall. I especially liked that the broth was served piping hot and was very flavourful. Unfortunately, the beef brisket was far too tough and chewy to eat, which was quite disappointing. Another issue was the volume of the music. It was so loud that we could barely hear each other and almost had to shout throughout the meal. Also, be aware that an optional service charge is automatically added to the bill. I chose this restaurant after reading the Google reviews, where many people mentioned the excellent service and how welcomed they felt. Sadly, that was not my experience at all. We were not greeted warmly, and throughout the meal we felt almost invisible. No one checked on us to see if everything was okay or whether we needed anything. Interestingly, I did notice staff checking on other tables around us, which made the experience even more disappointing. Looking back, I regret not asking for the optional service charge to be removed, as I genuinely don’t feel the level of service justified it. The first picture was ‘seafood spring roll‘. They were tiny and cost £7.75, literally 2 bits, ridiculous price for this dish.
First time visiting Pho in Bristol. I was recommended the typical Vietnamese dishes - summer rolls (prawns and vermicelli noodles) with Vietnamese sauce, Chicken and Tofu Pho (Vietnamese noodle soup) with beansprouts and mixed herbs, and Vietnamese Affogato (Vietnamese coffee poured in Condensed Milk Ice Cream). I really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere was good. The service I found could have been better, but probably slower due to it being a Saturday. The staff were pleasant and friendly. Prices were on the high side, but worth it if going out occasionally.
I have been coming to Pho for years. It is one of my favourite places in Bristol. The food is absolutely delicious, the staff are extremely welcoming and friendly, and overall, the experience makes you want to come back again and again! Huge shoutout to the Bristol team for providing exceptional service time and time again. Thank you to David who served us today— he was extremely attentive, friendly, and all around great. We will be back again❤️🍲
While on my UK trip, I was desperately craving Vietnamese food, my favorite kind of food! I walked in the rain to this spot because the menu online looked like it had quite a few dishes I like. The place was busy but not enough where I had to wait for a table. As for the vibe, it was upbeat. For the food, I ordered a lot of dishes that had a heavy veggie presence. I was trying to get my greens in! All the dishes were nice and tasty! However, I did not like the side of soup I got - beef bun bo hue. It was very oily. It's hard finding a good bun bo hue anywhere, and this one was no exception. The server was very understanding and took it back without charge. I really appreciated the fact they had Morning Glory (water spinach) on their menu - not typically on any Viet menu! A very yummy "mama home cooking" dish. To finish off, I had the condense milk ice cream affogato with cafe sua da - SO SO YUMMY. Really liked the ice cream, and it was a nice Viet spin on the European dessert
