Wanted to go watch the football and was recommended to go to The Cocktail Club - great decision. Contacted Matt and he was very helpful in getting me a reservation, outside with a view of the screen, made me feel reassured that we wouldnt be standing. When we arrived the door was held, the venue was clean and open with different vibes for each room meaning that different groups could still enjoy their nights out. We were in the garden which had comfortable spacious seats and heat lamps. We were brought water and popcorn with table service from Ruby who was helpful and knowledgeable in breaking down the menu. She and Matt checked in periodically. Mojito and Bramble were delicious. Some of the best daiquiris me or my partner have had and a good selection of beers and ciders! Went to the bar to order some drinks at halftime (as I figured everyone would be busy) and Abby took the time to discuss drinks options with me and made me and other guests feel very welcome. Extremely professional making fast tasty drinks, asking relevant questions that made the whole thing better: she recommended a drink that I hadn't even thought of and it was amazing! You have to try the solero sundae if you want something sweet and refreshing - my only complaint is that there wasn't more. And their Pina colada is lovely Unfortunately we spilled half that drink due to a goal celebration and they made us a new one! The whole area was cleaned as good as new in a couple minutes even with the business of the bar. Beautiful people, amazing drinks, good prices, spacious venue, nice atmosphere. All round great bar. Will be coming back
Had a hen do here and the cocktail making class was one of the best I’ve ever had. All the staff were friendly but an extra shout out to Matt who went that little bit extra to make sure we all had a great time! 100% recommend
Lovely atmosphere but weird experience that means I won't be coming again. Bouncer on the door quizzed me as to why I was there on my own (I'm in town for work), he asked me where I worked and 'why do you have no friends here'. Odd start. The staff inside were friendly and when I asked they let me know that they have a no solo visitors policy to prevent 'creepy old men'. I got a cocktail (which was lovely!) asked for the bill, and was given the option on the card reader to tip. I chose no tip, and was charged £15.41 for a cocktail advertised as £13.70. I queried it at the bar and they let me know that it's a discretionary service charge of 12.5%. While they were looking for my transaction I checked the whole menu and there's no mention of a service charge. Being asked on the card reader to tip as well is a bit of a joke if you ask me. It's a shame, I really liked the vibe, the staff, and the music, but the bouncer & the secret service charge means I won't be back.
We recently went to The Cocktail Club for my sister in laws hen do (November 2025). I booked for 17 people to do the cocktail making class. From the moment I contacted them to book, their responses were fast and informative! They sent a couple of reminders to confirm our attendance which was appreciated. When we got there, we had Matt and Liam leading our class. They were absolutely fantastic - so fun and engaging! They were also great at dealing with some loud and excited ladies ranging from ages 22-72. They went above and beyond to make sure everyone enjoyed it and there were some great games they played with the group too. Thank you Matt and Liam for a fab experience! It was great value for money too. Would highly recommend to anyone, but definitely for hen dos!
