Best fish & chips in Bristol. Everything was freshly cooked and tasted great. The owner was very friendly and welcoming. Lovely little place with fresh, tasty food. Cash preferred.
I’ve been working at the theatre this week and ended up coming here a few times after the show. Honestly, I’m so glad I did. The fish and chips are exactly what you’d hope for—fresh, tasty, and proper comfort food. What stood out just as much was the owner. Genuinely kind, humble, and always welcoming, which makes such a difference. If you’re heading to or from the theatre, I’d definitely recommend giving this place a try. It’s one of those local spots that’s well worth supporting.
Absolutely cool place to eat before a theatre show! Filled with posters from the stage shows of years gone by, the atmosphere gets you properly zoned in for your evening! The staff are first rate! Friendly, attentive and you don't have to wait for 40 minutes to eat! The food is superb! The perfect place to have a sit down pie and chips! It's 10 steps from the Hippodrome so genuinely the best place to eat before you go and watch anything in Bristol!
Best place I went to eat in Bristol, with a cosy old school vibe. Lovely staff great hearty plates and fast service. The fish and chips was delicious!
