Local tip
Parking is difficult in this area. Park in the Trenchard Street Car Park and exit on the lower level. This will bring you to the back of Colston Hall just a few minutes from Harveys Cellars.

Looking for a unique venue for a pre or post theatre meal, a fantastic cocktail or a wonderful wine? The setting of Harveys Cellars is truly magnificent. Located in atmospheric, medieval cellars that were once the home of the world famous Harveys Bristol Cream Sherry, this destination offers much more than your average restaurant or bar.

A beautiful illuminated Bristol Blue Glass bottle display greets you as you descend the stairs giving a hint of the stylish surroundings in the labyrinth-like cellars below. Down in the main restaurant take a seat at the illuminated island bar and choose from the bespoke wine list or extensive cocktail menu.

Whilst you are sipping your drink and browsing the tempting CreoleTapas menu, enjoy some marinated olives or pistachios. The dishes are cooked fresh on the premises, using local ingredients wherever possible. The Tapas menu includes delightful dishes such as slow roasted pork pit ribs with Caribbean seasoning, slow cooked Jamaican style pot Beef Stew, Garlic & Chilli Marinated Prawns and for those with a sweet tooth, Jamaican Ginger Cake with PX Cream. If you would like to follow the Spanish tradition and enjoy a sherry with your tapas, try a Harveys Cellar flight (£45 pp) or half flight (£22.50 pp). Harveys Cellar flights provide you with a selection of great tapas and the perfect style of sherry to accompany each course.

Through the back is a small museum area displaying some original Harvey artifacts, Harveys Cellar VIP bar, with tables fashioned from aged Harvey Sherry casks, and a music bar where live music takes place at the weekends.

Harveys Cellars is conveniently situated close to the harbourside attractions.

Special Events at Harveys Cellars include: Sherry & Tapas Tutoring evenings and Wine Tastings

Harveys Cellars is available for hire as a whole or as separate areas.
