Ostrich Inn
Bristol
This is a small cosy pub, packed with interesting old artefacts, a great place for a quiet pint. Its claim to fame can be seen at the far end of the bar - an entrance to an old cave system used in ancient times by sea merchants who, having enjoyed a few ales, used the cave system as a safe passageway home. In those days people wandering round the harbourside at night ran a high risk of being robbed - thankfully that is not the case now.
If the weather is kind you can enjoy a drink in the large beer garden while watching the boats pass by. There is a wide range of cask ales and beers on offer and pub food is available.
