My travelling companions and I greatly enjoyed our stay in the lovely garden rooms at Ferndale Mews. It was like a little oasis with our own private rose garden. The owner, Steve, was friendly and responsive when we needed something and also helped us get oriented with resources in the town. Tips for other travellers We had lunch one day and dinner the next at Grupo Lounge which is a five minute walk from the inn in the cute center of Westbury-on-Trym. The food was excellent and the outdoor terrace on the roof was a lovely spot for an evening meal, once the day cooled off a bit. Great cocktails too. There is a "Tesco Express" market very close by where we found what we needed for snacks, water, and other drinks. The neighborhood where the inn is located is a lovely place to walk around with lots of little shops, cafes, bakeries, etc. We had a wonderful time and highly recommend Ferndale Mews!
I’ve stayed several times in various rooms and my stays have always been excellent. Everything you could need, beautifully decorated and excellent cleanliness. I would highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in the area.
Travelling for work as a lone female, I often stay in hotels but they were booked, so I opted to stay here. The communication after booking and on arrival was excellent. It was easy to park and access the room, which was in a little garden area. It is very secure within a coded gate and very quiet. It’s a short 5 min walk to local shops/restaurants and a park, and not far from Clifton/Redland in the other direction. The room is exceptionally clean and everything to provide a relaxing and comfortable stay has been provided. I liked that my invoice was there on the table when I arrived. The room is small but spacious. There’s a fridge, coffee/tea & microwave. The shower is good and bed very comfortable. A fan was provided (in the hot weather) but the room remained pretty cool anyway. I had an excellent night’s sleep. I’d choose this over a hotel anytime. A perfect place to stay.
parking was easy with off street parking. Venue looks good from outside and has key codes at all entrances including the room. The room itself has all what you would expect. A fridge with water and milk, a nespresso machine and tea/coffee facilities. The room is clean and the bed very comfortable. The room size is of a good standard.
The best place to stay in Bristol. Ferndale Mews is a true hidden gem — spotless, beautifully designed, and incredibly comfortable, with fast and reliable internet. The host was wonderful, with great communication and thoughtful attention to every detail, making the whole stay feel effortless. The location is peaceful and charming, in the lovely Westbury-on-Trym area, yet still very convenient for the city. Honestly, everything about this stay was phenomenal. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it.
