Post-graduation celebration meal. The restaurant is located upstairs in Wapping Wharf where there are a series of restaurants in converted shipping containers, with a lovely small terrace overlooking the river. The atmosphere is stylish and laid back, the servers were very friendly and knowledgable and sorted out a booking issue which was entirely our fault. The food was great, 1 star French Michelin standard especially the bread, the souffle, the monkfish and the duck confit. The wine list was extensive and had some really interesting choices (the vielles vignes rose was amazing). Best meal we've had in Bristol ever, and we'll definitely be back.

Four of us based on a recommendation headed to Lapin, full of expectation and we were not disappointed. We opened our account with cocktails, which were adequate but not showstoppers. Fortunately the remainder of our choices were delightful. Starters including the authentic souffle, pretty trout rillette, and robust bone marrow brought smiles to our faces. A bottle of Domaine de Villages was a fine accompaniment to our delicious mains of pork, duck and chicken with supporting sides. We were light on dessert only taking the St Emilion au Chocolat - very good! Great service from Hamish, Lapin is worth a visit.

The service and food were excellent as we celebrated our anniversary. I had the prix fixe and my husband had the cheese souffle, pork cordon bleu and éclair. It was all fabulous. We started the meal with some bread and burned butter, which was also delicious, but could have done with a bit more butter.
