I came here with my nearly-5 year old on a busy inset day, lots of parents here with the same idea. But despite it having high footfall, there was plenty of space for all and we didn't have to queue long for anything. I loved seeing bits and bobs which have stuck around since I was a kid (I'm now 36) such as the heat map screen, the section on Aardman, the optical illusions - but none of it felt dated or tired. Along with so much new stuff, the giant bubbles, the little softplay/brick area, the huge water mill hamster wheel thing. Being able to come and go was great, we popped out for lunch, and popped out to go to Primark. Meaning we broke the day up with 3 visits in total. The biggest shout out goes to the staff, they all seemed genuinely so pleased to be there. Happily answering any questions from my daughter, encouraging her curiosity and whims. But also totally understanding that her attention span is short and she needed age appropriate language to keep her engaged. We took the option of going for a concession price ticket, not having to show my status as a receiver of universal credit was lovely. It's great to be able to have a more financially accessible option, whilst still not cheap - worth it for a full day of activity. I suspect this was the first visit of many for my daughter and we look forward to coming again in future
Very interesting and interactive. Aimed at kids but I enjoyed it as an adult too so I think its a great family experience. Lots of different activities. Shame some experiences are paid for in addition to the ticket price but still plenty included to keep you busy for several hours. Cute little gift shop too.
This museum is fantastic! ✨ It's truly educative, fun, and entertaining for both kids and adults. I really appreciate the convenience of having a public toilet and a snack bar available. 🤩 Definitely a great spot for families!
We got a gift voucher from friends to this amazing place. We live in area many years but have never heard of it. Now I am sure my son will ask me to return there again and again. We suggest to get tickets for Planetarium show, well worth a money. Something to keep in mind - with a day ticket you can return through out the day several times. My son didn't want to leave unless we tried out and seen everything there We The Curious made us curious.
We came here to see Mesmerica 360 in the Planetarium. The show was ok, I felt they could have done a bit more with it. But the kids enjoyed it. The area is a buzz of activity and there are plenty of things to do. We didn't wait but had a time slot of 6.45 pm for when the show started.
