Visit in the late afternoon to enjoy the vibrant atmosphere over a house-brewed beer.

The Volunteer Tavern, nestled in Bristol, offers an inviting blend of traditional charm and modern, community-focused atmosphere. This beloved pub is known for its welcoming and inclusive environment where everyone, including families and their dogs, can feel at home. The pub's commitment to sustainability and empowerment shines through in its offerings, providing a sense of community and celebration for all who visit.

Unique to the Volunteer Tavern is its on-site brewing operation, which crafts delightful beers such as the Volly Pale and Tiptoe's Tipple. Visitors can savor these traditionally crafted brews along with a selection of other drinks in this vibrant and lively locale. The atmosphere is further enhanced by the charming presence of the pub mascots, Topsy and Tipsy, the 'Volly Cats'.

Lovely pub with a great outdoor area which is quite big and very colourful. Also outdoor heaters for those who get cold! Rhys was amazing, super friendly and funny. As an added bonus, the pub has two cats and a dog :)

My final CAMRA Good Beer Guide pub to tick off in central Bristol. Buzzing at Friday teatime on a sunny March evening. My 19th new brewery of the trip. VOLLY BREW BOX. Tip Toe 4% amber. Flat Eric made a new friend. Boothroyd Bear had a red wine. Lovely pub

SUCH a gorge little pub. Incredibly cosy with loads of string lights which made for a great atmosphere, heaters outside, generous seating, free period products available in the ladies. They list all vegan/GF beers on the board for those with preferences. Even better there's a house doggie and some cats! Can't wait to make this my second home 🥰
