Absolutely perfect stay! I stayed overnight for a show at Bristol Beacon, my room was lovely and clean, incredibly comfy bed! The building itself was beautiful and the staff at reception were very welcoming! It's a great location, super easy to get to the coach station and down into the central area!
Really nice hotel spread over 2 buildings not far from everywhere. Lovely parks and eateries within 5-10 mins walk. I do have a couple of gripes though, 1, you have to pay for parking on their car park at the rear?? 2, you are asked what you want for breakfast and full in the form, I have no issues with this, but was asked what time would I like it I said 0700 that's ok as we open the dining room at 0700, and they mean OPEN it at 0700, I thought I could go down early and have my full English at 0700 but no! I had to wait in the lobby area for 10 mins along with a couple of others who thought the same. I did get a fresh cooked "full" English at 0720 but the "full" English turned out to be a Skinner's world one, by that I mean 1 rasher bacon, 1 sausage, small amount of scrambled egg, the smallest ramakin of beans, 1 small hash brown and a quarter of a tomato, coffee. I was not asked if I wanted toast or cereal but I guess I missed that if the form☹️ all the staff where great and the place is great to.
The location is perfect, just 15 min walk from the suspension bridge and the whole area surrounding the hotel feels like a fairytale, with loads of cute cafés and parks. The breakfast (14£), that needs to be ordered in advance, was honestly delicious, and the breakfast room is super cozy, perfect to relax while eating. The highlight of the hotel is, though, the service, concretely Agnieszka. She's so kind and professional, helping with patience and care, you can definitely feel how much she enjoys her job and, honestly, she made our stay in the hotel 100 times better.
After my experience for one night, do not book a single room. It was one room sliced into two in the top floor, which would have been where the domestic staff slept. It was the tiniest, most cramped room l have ever stayed in. It also had a terrible chemical smell, probably from too much ckeaning fluid of some sort. The location was just what l wanted but l will not be staying thefe again.
Super unprofessional staff member on reception on evening/night of 6th April. Other staff were lovely and deserve a shoutout, especially the lady running breakfast and the receptionist on morning of 7th April. Sadly, the presiding memory will be the woefully unfriendly, unhelpful, and petty staff member. She was independently reported as much by other members of my group before I had my experience.
