While it's a lovely venue, the staff have a terrible attitude problem! The patrons before me had clearly irked the bar maid and she decided it was appropriate to let her annoyance spill out onto me. She was slamming and banging around while making my drink which was rather unpleasant. I felt thoroughly unwelcome and as a result left earlier than I'd intended. I understand Saturday is a stressful time for bar staff but it's completely unprofessional to take it out on paying customers!

I’ve had the pleasure of celebrating my birthday at barrelhouse for two years in a row now! The staff have always been extremely friendly and accommodating, letting me use their function room for free and helping me setup the microphone and speaker system so I could host a pub quiz with friends! The venue is a lovely pub situated in Clifton with an awesome rooftop deck and a great selection of food and drinks. We’ve preordered food both times and the staff have been so helpful and organised - bringing out 20 orders at the same time with zero issues! The staff are always so fun and joyful and went out of their way to add to the experience! I’d love to give a special shoutout to Emma, Ellie & Con working Saturday 2nd of May especially for being so brilliant! Barrelhouse is definitely worth a visit or to book for your next event! Ok so I am Italian, so I heavily judge pizza, specially not Italian style pizza (is American style pizza even pizza?? Lol). But I really really loved the pizza here. It was very thick but still fluffy, with the perfect amount of toppings. Dips were also great and we got Mac and cheese balls and mozzarella sticks which were yummy. I think 2 slices per person are plenty, I had 3 but it was definitely too much. They also have cheap cocktails and 2-4-1 on selected cocktails. Drinks were lush too. Friendly staff. I definitely recommend this place and I will be back.
