A lovely place for a relaxed Saturday afternoon lunch. The food was delicious, and the portion sizes were just right. Our waitress, Evie, was fantastic. Overall, we had a really great experience.
Visited Cow & Sow to try their new brunch menu, launching 2nd May (served 10am-1pm), and it's a great addition to their offering😍😍 We ordered the Cow & Egg and the French Toast. The French toast was a standout (light, fluffy, and topped with a really nice maple syrup whipped cream that added a slightly different twist without being too heavy!)🫶 The Cow & Egg was also excellent🏆 The flat iron steak was cooked perfectly (served pink), tender, and well-seasoned. The combination with the fried egg, chimichurri avocado, and especially the sweet potato hash brown worked really well and felt a bit more unique than a typical brunch dish🤤 We also tried a couple of brunch cocktails (Peach Bellini and Hugo Spritz), which were both well made and a nice addition to the menu. Overall, a strong brunch offering with good quality ingredients and a slightly elevated take on classic dishes. Would definitely return⭐️
We came here for our valentines dinner and had the special valentines set meal which also included a glass of prosecco. This was the best meal I’ve had in a long time, I love steak and this was the best place to go for a romantic and delicious meal. We had an incredible sharing starter and then a massive chateau briand before finishing with a decadent caramel and honeycomb dessert. The staff and service was also very lovely and made the evening that much better.
This was such a beautiful dining experience served by Becs! We came here for dinner and had the heritage tomato salad and the squid to start which was a perfect balance before having the 1100g porterhouse with chips, miso hipsi cabbage with garlic butter and blue cheese sauce. Next time I’ll save room for dessert.
Great food and atmosphere, though service was a bit relaxed. We recently visited The Cow & Sow in Bristol. Since it was very busy, we could only secure an early table, which definitely confirmed the restaurant's popularity! The Food & Drink We started with some cocktails as an aperitif. While they were refreshing, we found them to be a bit on the light side in terms of strength. However, the food more than made up for it: The Cow & Sow Starter: We shared this, and it was absolutely delicious—highly recommended! The Main Course: Unfortunately, the "Steak to Share" we originally wanted was sold out. Instead, we opted for the 700g dry-aged Picanha. It was cooked to a perfect medium-rare and had a fantastic, deep flavor. Wine: The wine list is solid, and we had no trouble finding a great bottle to pair with our meat. Atmosphere & Service The location has a great vibe and was buzzing with people. The only minor downside was the pace; service was a little slow throughout the early evening. If you aren't in a rush, it's not a big deal, but it’s something to keep in mind. Total: A very tasty experience with high-quality meat. We’ll definitely be back (and hopefully snag the sharing steak next time!).
