Absolutely brilliant ramen. Broth is rich and salty, pork was soft and fell apart, noodles were perfectly firm, I like mine abit thicker usually but still great. And I wanna shout out our server - Josh - who was just amazing, super kind and friendly. Would highly recommend this spot
My absolute favourite restaurant in Bristol!! ❤️ I have been recommended this place to all my friends. The food is always spot on. Staff are lovely and supper friendly. Always fast taking our orders and serving. I rarely have to wait anything over 10 minutes. Great atmosphere, tho I confess to dislike the volume of the music, that still doesn’t make my rating lower. I have tried the tonkotsu, tokyo and kakugiri ramens and to all I give a 10/10. I am not the hugest fan of the fried chicken but it’s a personal preference. The kimchi is a must every time we are around!! Absolutely delicious and so refreshing, with just the right amount of spice.
We had lunch at this place, without a reservation. The place was recommended by a fellow foodie friend and I’m glad I gave it a try. The ramen is definitely the best option on their menu, I went for the Tokyo style one after asking a member of staff about the broth used ( I don’t like the milky ones), and this was recommended. This was an excellent bowl of ramen, mouthwatering dish, I would definitely recommend! The fried tofu was soft but tasteless, no seasoning, I could only taste the oil it was fried on. The prawn gyozas were tasty and tangy. Overall a good experience, staff was friendlier than other places, the ramen is a must try 😌
Wow. This place filled up all around me and for good reason. We walked in an were immediately noticed, greeted and seated. There was no disapproving “have you booked though?” Energy that I disdain so much. We were seated quickly and I asked the waitress to help me out with suggestions because it was mine and my partners first time trying japenese food. The waitress was so helpful and made economic suggestions as well as most popular dishes. Very helpful. I ordered a lovely mocktail (as pictured) this was the Jasmine Spritz was sweet and refreshing. We had a sides come out in good time and it was enjoyable! You get decent portions and this extended to main dish. Excellent value for money, can confirm the meat was tender. I ordered the Tokyo dish for the main and this was an experience to eat. So much flavour. I personally wasn’t a fan of the egg but it didn’t really takeaway from this large bowl packed with good flavours. I made sure to spread out my pork so I could extend its use with mixing with all the noodles. Very deep bowl. Every mouthful tasty. Excellent value and more than happy to pay the service charge which is quite rare for me to say.
If you’re in Bristol and craving ramen, Tonkotsu Bristol Ramen Bar is an absolute must-visit. I recently ordered the Tokyo ramen along with kimchi, and it was honestly the best ramen I’ve had in Bristol so far. The broth was incredibly rich and full of deep, satisfying flavour exactly what you want from a proper bowl of ramen. Every bite felt comforting and well-balanced. The kimchi was a perfect side, adding a fresh, tangy kick that complemented the meal beautifully. Beyond the food, the whole experience stood out. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy your meal. The service was quick and efficient, and everything felt clean and well-maintained, which always makes a difference. What really made it special, though, was the staff. They were genuinely friendly and welcoming, creating a positive vibe from the moment I walked in. Overall, an excellent experience delicious food, great service, and a lovely atmosphere. I’ll definitely be coming back.
