Local tip
There is plenty of open space for games so take a football.

Ashton Court Estate is a major recreational area for Bristol and is a great place to take a picnic on a summer day. Once home to the Smyth family, it is now owned by Bristol Council. As well as enjoying wonderful woodland walks, see if you can spot the Red Deer and Fallow Deer grazing in the two deer parks. There are cycling trails, orienteering trails, large open areas for family games, a picnic area, two par 3 golf courses and a miniature railway (open on selected days). Information on the history of the estate, trail maps and information on activities and events can be obtained at the visitor centre in the stable block of the mansion.

There is a small charge for parking.
