Located in the heart of Bristol's City Centre on the Harbourside, Bristol Aquarium is home to a magnificent array of aquatic wildlife. At the centre of the aquarium is the enormous Coral Sea and here you'll be able to admire over 250 marine animals, including sharks, stingrays, puffer fish and more. If wrasse and gurnard is your thing, head to the botanical house and its 60,000 litre seabed feature or, step out into the Harbourside exhibit and say hello to Merlin- the aquariums' giant Pacific octopus which is the world's largest species of octopus. The Amazon display gives a glimpse of the spectacular river fish including red bellied piranhas which are most feared in fresh water!
Bristol Aquarium aims to create awareness of the dangers that our oceans face and supports conservation. One of their successful projects has been breeding Seahorses- Bristol Aquarium is home to many baby and adult seahorses.
Facilities include a café, gift shop and baby changing facilities.
There is plenty of space for wheelchairs and pushchairs at this attraction.
