Description
This treasure hunt offers two route options, Edinburgh East and Edinburgh West, starting from the same point and finishing at the designated pub. Both routes cover the same distance and have overlapping sections. Choose a single route to complete solo or together, or race both routes in teams to the prize destination.
The treasure hunt pack includes a clues sheet, treasure map, clipboard, compass, and a prize envelope containing local area history and an activity pack. Pens are not provided.
The activity is self-guided, allowing you to start at any time after 10:00 AM on a day that suits you. It typically takes between 2 to 3 hours to complete. The final reward is dining at the treasure pub, where you receive a discount on your total food and drink bill. Advance notice allows the provider to reserve a table under your name.
Booking and Delivery
- Choose tickets for 1-2, 2-4, or 5-8 people; one ticket covers each group size.
- Provide your mailing address and preferred start time in your booking email.
- Hard packs require 5 working days’ notice for delivery.
- Digital packs are available with 4 hours’ notice; these come as a PDF to print or use on a mobile device.
- Bring a pen, notepad, and compass or compass app when using the digital version.

- Tickets are flexible and valid for any day that suits your schedule.
- Under 18s may access the pubs during daytime hours; check specific pub times on the provider’s website.
- If dining at the treasure pub, inform the provider of your start time to secure a table.
- Cancellation is free up to 24 hours before the start time.
