Although Bristol Zoo Gardens is set in a relatively small area in relation to other big city zoos, you will find plenty to look at and do for a full day visit here. There are reptiles, lions, monkeys, pygmy hypos, giant turtles, seals, penguins and many more animals to see. Highlights include being entertained by the antics of the gorilla families and feeding the lorikeets with nectar from small cups. There is plenty of open space for the children - they love discovering life up high clambering around on the aerial ropes system “ZooRopia”. There is a paid car parking available just outside the entrance to the zoo. If you are using public transport take the number 8 or 9 bus from the city centre or you can take the open top city bus.

TOP TIP: To save money take a picnic - there is a covered picnic area you can use if the weather is not good.
