DescriptionDay 1: Begin the journey through the South Downs National Park to Winchester, home to one of the biggest cathedrals in Europe. Continue through the New Forest to Corfe Castle ruins and visit Lulworth Cove. Your overnight stop is Exmouth, a traditional coastal resort. Day 2: Journey to Dartmoor National Park. Make a stop at the famous Clapper Bridge at Postbridge and a lunch stop in the market town of Tavistock, where you can discover the award–winning Pannier Market. Continue through Bodmin Moor, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and spend the night in the coastal town of Falmouth. Day 3: Make your way to Mousehole to explore the village. Continue to Porthcurno and the Minack Theatre. Head west to Land’s End, England’s most westerly point. Enjoy a cliff-top walk with striking views, before stopping in St Ives and heading back to Falmouth. Day 4: Head to Port Isaac, the filming location for Doc Martin. Visit Tintagel, legendary birthplace of King Arthur, and stop in Boscastle for lunch. Continue to Ilfracombe for more impressive coastal views. Overnight in Bristol, home to Clifton’s iconic suspension bridge, the SS Great Britain and the world’s most famous street artist, Banksy. Day 5: Delve into the Cotswolds. See Cirencester, the largest town in the Cotswold District, and some of the smaller Cotswold villages. Continue on to Ironbridge, perched on the River Severn. Overnight in the pretty English city of Chester, walk the Roman walls to get your bearings and a bird’s-eye view of the city. Day 6: Spend the morning in Chester before heading west to Wales on the Llanberis Pass. Enjoy the scenery at Snowdonia National Park, and visit Conwy, a walled market town home to Conwy Castle. See the Thomas Telford Suspension Bridge before returning to Chester for a second night. Day 7: Visit the Peak District National Park's stunning views and bustling market towns. Stop in the spa town of Buxton, the highest elevated market town in England! Make your way to Bakewell, home to Chatsworth House. Spend your third evening in York, the most haunted city in Europe. Day 8: Take an entire day to explore York at your own leisure! Day 9: Head north, stopping at Richmond to visit the castle. Move on to Alnwick Castle or explore the town of Alnwick itself. Continue up the East Coast and enjoy stunning coastal views before you reach Edinburgh. Spend the evening in Edinburgh before heading north. Day 10: Journey through the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. Cross Rannoch Moor and Glen Coe. Stop at Eilean Donan castle to explore, then cross the bridge to Skye for your overnight stop. Day 11: Spend a day exploring the Isle of Skye, with a stop in Portree for lunch. Day 12: Visit the world–famous Loch Ness. Tour Urquhart Castle and hop onto a Jacobite Cruise to Nessie spot on the loch itself. Stop at Culloden Battlefield, before you continue south to Pitlochry; a pretty town perched next to the river Tummel, before returning to Edinburgh.
