The only saving grace was location. Located close to train station, some beautiful attraction. We had no Hot water at the room (issue with boiler) - had to manage with cold water for 2 days. But the manager gave a discount on the stay - while it was a kind gesture - it was too uncomfortable. Room lacks basic amenities. Don’t expect any thing premium for the price. It’s a 100% budget hotel.
Although I didn’t stay at the holiday inn, I walked in to go to the toilet and charge my phone up as I was a single woman waiting for her bus opposite. Khalisa walked up to me with grace and asked if I was staying but allowed me to wait a bit longer for my phone to charge even though , I wasn’t a guest, I think that is A class service immediately understanding I was safer if I had my phone, I was also listening in to how she was talking to the guests along with her colleague who I didn’t get the name of but they were both such lovely people who had such great communication with the guests.
Room was clean and tidy, perfect for what we needed. The staff where very friendly and helpful, perfect location for Bristol temple meads train station, as we where going to a concert in Cardiff and where a absolute bargain compared to the rip off prices in Cardiff, would recommend to everyone thsnk you.
Excellent value for money. Room was clean, with the mattress being really nice. I have an exceptional mattress at home and for once did not feel wanting. Additionally heaters were placed in the room which came in useful. Woke up with a lovely at home feel to the room. Breakfast was uncomplicated and very tasty. Even the coffee was nice. The service received was second to none. Would like to single out zaha for her handling of what could have been a horrible situation, my doing not the hotels, in a very swift and professional manner. All in all if you need a hotel in Bristol is handsomely recommend.
