ショッピングの合間に少し息抜きして、世界で最も古いメソジスト礼拝堂を見に行きましょう。デベナムスのすぐ向かいに位置しており、アクセスしやすく、多くの歴史があります。1739年にジョン・ウェズリーが新しい部屋を建て、会議や礼拝に加えて、貧しい人々のための薬局や学校として使用されました。

礼拝堂の興味深い特徴の1つは、ダブルデッカーパルピットです。上部はメインの説教に使用され、下部は他の祈りのために使用されました。礼拝堂の上階には、ジョンと兄弟のチャールズ・ウェズリーの生涯や活動について学ぶことができる展示室があります。建物の周りの中庭には、彼らの像があります。

月曜日から土曜日：午前10時から午後4時まで。

入場は無料ですが、寄付は歓迎されます。
