The Alma is a real Bristol treasure. The pub is lovely, the food is excellent and the service is always cheerful and helpful. As a bonus, your food bill gets a 25% discount if you're going to the upstairs (air conditioned) theatre. Give it a go, you won't be disappointed.

Staff were absolutely amazing. Just two young girl bartenders working alone on the hottest day I’ve experienced in the UK. Tried to talk to a manager to give my props but apparently there were none on shift. I’ve worked hospitality for 10 years. How a shift can be run on a day like this with no management is disgusting and they should be ashamed of themselves. The two of them were struggling with broken coolers no beer and demanding customers. They conducted themselves well but if I owned this bar I’d be embarrassed.

Fab pub and venue, loved the pizza(s) too. 1st Sunday of the month for a dose of Jack Calloway and the Midnight Creepers is a must....
