Was pleasantly surprised. Place is really clean atmosphere is great ,cosy and mega affordable. I was expecting a lot less for what I paid . Steak wasn't the top class ,but for £15 I really could not complain ,in fact for this price I would have expected very plain food - it's not the case. Tasted really good - but maybe not as tender for my liking ..still really good though 👌 will come back ! Love this place
We had a fantastic meal here. We loved the alternative menu. We had the ox tail and chips and the goat. Both were superb. The service was excellent and Alex went above and beyond to make our visit memorable with plenty of food and drink suggestions.
Their new Mexican pop up is an amazing addition to the place. The Birria nachos were lovely as were the tacos! Highly recommend, really hard to find somewhere making good Mexican food in Bristol but this pop up is one of them
The service was lovely from the staff the man who I think was the manager was super helpful and so was our waitress. Unfortunately the Sunday lunch was disappointing we would have mentioned this at the time but no one came over mid meal to ask. Whilst the roast potatoes, celeriac purée and Yorkshire puddings were nice there need to be more than half a carrot and parsnip per dinner. There were also too many flavours on the plate the spiced red cabbage didn’t complement the roast as a whole it was also swimming in gravy. However, all of our party agreed the worst part was the meat it there was one slice and it had grill lines on and tasted Smokey from the grill it was also very dry like it had been reheated. It was such a shame as we were really looking forward to our Sunday dinner based on previous reviews and pictures.
