Reviews
My partner and I stumbled across this little hidden gem. We were on our way back to our hotel when we found it. Oldy worldy type of place, where the staff we very knowledgeable on their spirits. We felt very welcomed, and being strangers to the city was nice experience. Lovely ambience and we will definitely visit again next time we are in Bristol. We were having doubles and a round was between £25 to £30. But they were nice doubles and not your cheap spirits. If you like rum, you have to try their own Honey Rum.
The Rummer is one of those rare places that quietly reminds you why cocktail bars matter. Tucked away just off St Nicholas Market, it manages to feel both historic and completely alive. The atmosphere is relaxed but intentional, the kind of space where conversation flows easily whether you’ve popped in for one drink or three. The drinks are beautifully curated, excellent cocktails, and a sense that the staff actually care about what they’re serving. Everything is done with confidence but zero pretension. There’s a real sense of Bristol independence, thoughtful, and timeless without being stuck in the past. The Rummer absolutely delivers.
