Delighted with the service and food at Aqua last night. It was our first visit as we walked in on spec less than an hour before we were due at the Old Vic for a play . The waitress was warm and reassuring that our pre-theatre light supper would arrive promptly and she even recommended the area on the menu to find exactly what we were looking for on the hot evening. She pointed out the delicious sharing platter and her advice was excellent. It was both gastronomically sophisticated and exactly the light supper we were looking for and it paired well with a glass their house white wine. The atmosphere was calm and pleasant and it felt like an oasis of a place on one of football's biggest nights.
I recently dined at Aqua and had a mixed experience, though it holds plenty of potential. The location is absolutely brilliant, situated right by the scenic harbour and ideally positioned next to the local nightlife and pub district. The highlight of the evening was definitely the food. Everything we ordered was incredibly tasty, fresh, and well-prepared. However, the service fell short of expectations. Despite our group selecting our menu options a full week in advance, it took nearly an hour for our food to be served once we arrived. Additionally, the drinks service was quite hands-off. After our initial round of drinks, the staff didn't check back in or ask if we wanted a second round. Apart from these pacing issues, it was a thoroughly enjoyable visit. It is easily a 4-star experience right now, and with a few improvements to staff attentiveness and service speed, it could easily be a 5-star venue in the future.
We came to celebrate my birthday and the whole experience from start to finish was exceptional. Super friendly staff and amazing food and birthday brownie was to die for, we used aqua before and it never disappoints. Highly recommend and we will definitely come back.
A Delicious 2 Course Meal I had at Bristol Docks ⛴️ yesterday, a 2 Course Meal for "£26 - Great Price" 💷 with an Incredible Taste too, I really enjoyed it, definitely worth visiting, the Staff were very friendly and helpful too, thank you all very much! 😋 🍽 👍
1. The atmosphere in this place is gorgeous, spacious seating with ample room. The lighting and seating are comforting and inviting. 2. The service was spectacular, I was greeted by a warm welcome from I’m guessing was the supervisor Victoria who also helped me to a seat immediately as I entered. I was then waited on a beautiful blonde girl named Niamh who very graciously made me a drink within minutes of being there, she also delivered my forthcoming food and dessert. 3. The food was spectacular, I had for starter the Squid which was from what I could taste freshly cooked and seasoned with no salt or pepper required ( I usually require the latter) then moved to the steak strips with chips I devoured both and was pleasantly surprised by the pace of delivery and quality. And for dessert I indulged in a sticky toffee pudding which by my standards met the taste smell and texture level I come to expect from a relatively expensive dessert. Overall I would recommend this establishment to anyone who enjoys (chill) atmosphere with higher end food and service. My best compliments to the chefs and waitresses. Ps. The napkins are top-notch I even took one home as I was relived and elated to be in the presence of such fine cloth material. Pps. The bathrooms are adorable, I enjoyed the stone basins.
