5 stars for the concept. In a sea of Neapolitan style pizzas, this Roman style stands out. 5 stars for the dough, which is crunchy, soft and delicious. 5 stars for the toppings, which are fresh and flavourful. And finally, 5 stars for the service. Everything was served with a smile and the owner took the time to chat with us about his pizza making process and gave us plenty of great tips on how to make better pizza at home. Thank you!

Stumbled across this place on my way to Pret for lunch, and glad I did. What a find. Lovely little sliced pizza and sandwich spot. Bread baked daily on site for sammies, and the best quality ingredients weekly from Milan, and boy can you taste it. Lovely independent with a very passionate team…well worth the visit, wish I’d known about it sooner!

Really enjoyed Basil – a great spot at the top of Queens Road, perfect for people-watching. They specialise in Roman-style pizza al taglio, and the 90-hour fermented dough is a standout – light, crispy and chewy. Everything is made fresh daily, including the focaccia sandwiches. Highlights were the mortadella & stracciatella focaccia and the fennel sausage slice. Good value deals during the week too. A great choice for quality, casual Italian on the go.

Great Roman style pizza slices! So glad it opened in Bristol. And the toppings are fantastic! Fennel sausage and taleggio was my favourite one. Can't wait to visit again!

What a wonderful little place! The owner David was absolutely amazing, straight away explaining all the toppings of each pizza and how they get an extra bake that makes it taste like you are having the pizza fresh. There’s a good selection of Italian drinks and flavours too. The pizza’s themselves are super tasty! I was skeptical at first with the price tag and size of the pizza but it is surprisingly feeling and the price is justified for the amazing quality! Best pizza I have had in Bristol by far!
