Great little bar opposite the Clayton Hotel where we were staying in Bristol. Good selection of Belgian Beers all served in the specialist glasses and really enjoyed the chilli prawns and croquettes which were both really tasty and well presented. All the food coming out to other customers looked good. The 3 girls serving were very friendly and provided a great service, and we did not even get upset when one of them tripped and spilled a pint of lager over my wife. Not sure about the name of the bar especially the word Fries which implies fast greasy food to me, which is not the case as the food is lovely, and a cut above normal bar food.

Food/service really depends on the staffing. I stayed at Clayton across the street, and I live Belgian beer, so I came twice—a masochist, I guess. The nachos are served freezing cold, and God knows what the crispy chicken was (air fried). (Both nights, the music was nothing but the Pearl Jam algorithm.)

This was my first visit here since it re-branded to Froth & Fries. Same Strawberry Thief decor, same Strawberry Thief selection of drinks (which is great) and the same great staff. Highly recommended to visit. Based on previous visits, it was quiet (approx 2100) so seating wasn't a problem during this visit. The staff were great to chat to and very knowledgeable about the drinks. Not sure about the name change still...Strawberry Thief in all but name.
