Directions to Cycle the City Tours
Two wheels are better than none, especially when you are in Britain's friendliest cycling city. You can explore the area with ease on one of Cycle the City's guided bicycle tours. Choose between the Harbour Tour to learn a bit about 'lost Bristol' whilst discovering some historic sights, or the River Avon Amble Tour, which takes you to Beeses Tea Gardens and then back to base by boat, courtesy of Bristol Packet Boat Trips. If you're a beer lover there is also a Beer Tasting Tour, guided by a local beer expert. Tickets for tours are available from No 1 Harbourside or the Tourist Information Centre.
The Harbour Tour takes in Brunel's ss Great Britain, Redcliffe Caves, the magnificent Suspension Bridge and much more. During the tour you'll glean lots of information about 'lost Bristol' .
Harbour Tours run daily. Meet at No 1 Harbourside at 1pm.
Price £15. Duration 1.5 hours
River Avon Amble Tour:
This is a leisurely cycle ride to Beeses Tea Gardens taking in the sights along the way. After a relaxing break you return back to No 1 Harbourside by boat.
Tour runs on Sundays. Meet at 2pm at No 1 Harbourside.
Price £25 including return boat journey. Tour lasts 3.5 hours.
Beer Tasting Tour:
Discover some of the city's hidden and historic pubs with a local expert. Lots of fun and laughter included.
Tour runs on Saturdays. Meet at 3.30pm at No 1 Harbourside.
Price £25 (including beer). Tour lasts about 2.5 hours.
Cycle the City tours also have a range of beautiful bikes available to hire on an hourly or daily basis. So pop down to No.1 Harbourside and have a coffee whilst James pairs you up with a heritage steed, a lock and a helmet to keep you safe! Cycle Hire Prices:
Daily rate - £16 per day. Hourly rate - £6 for the first hour then £2 for every extra hour.
Deposit is required on all bikes.
Tues- Sat: 10.00 - 1730 Cycle hire outside these hours available by prior arrangement.
Sun-Mon: Cycle hire available by prior arrangement.
