I had a really enjoyable stay at the ibis Bristol Temple Meads. Overall, I was very happy with my experience, particularly the room, which was wonderfully clean, very large, spacious and comfortable. It was definitely one of the highlights of my stay. The staff were super friendly, welcoming and lovely, which made the stay even more enjoyable. There were just a couple of minor points worth mentioning. The air conditioning wasn't particularly effective. It didn't affect me personally during my stay, but I could imagine it being an issue for other guests, especially during warmer weather. The early check-in process was also a little pointless rather than frustrating. I was asked to sign up for an Accor account in order to arrange early check-in, despite already being an Accor member. I therefore had to create another account, which seemed unnecessary. Aside from those minor points, I was very happy with my stay and would definitely stay here again. The room was excellent and the staff were fantastic.

Conveniently situated a short walk from Temple Meads station. About 30 minutes walk to the city centre. The rooms are basic although the bed in my room was large and comfortable. There was also a chair converting to a single bed. Small hanging space and shelving that could be used as a desk. Supposed to be wi-fi but I was unable to connect to it and the 4G mobile signal was appalling. Shower room adequate. I didn't eat in as there was no chef on. The hotel provided what I needed though; a comfortable bed for the night within easy reach of public transport.

Pleasant stay. Rooms are minimalistic, and had everything we needed. The shower and toilet were unusual: enclosed in a sort of prefabricated pod, integrated inside the room. We found the shower noisy in the room and could hear gurgling noises from the drain at night. Our biggest issue was the lack of control over the room temperature, which is centrally controlled by the hotel. There is no air-con or heating in the traditional sense. We visited during peak summer and the room was far too warm to sleep comfortably. There was a single window which opened a small amount but this was insufficient. The location is quiet and great for trains and busses. Friendly and helpful staff.

Great location for accessing transport hub at Temple Meads. Room was spotlessly clean but lacking in areas ( no hand towel in bathroom, no waste bin in bedroom area and wooden spoon for tea/coffee 😩) Would stay here again for location and staff were lovely. Lots of lovely cafes nearby for breakfast/ lunch.

Unfortunately, my experience at this hotel was disappointing. I chose this hotel because my friends had picked it, but for the price, I don’t think the service and quality were justified. On the first night, when we returned to our room around midnight, we discovered cockroaches in the room. This was unacceptable. We went to the front desk, and the staff were helpful and moved us to another room. However, the second room was smaller and still had several issues. The bathroom had a gap between the door and the floor, and the ventilation was not working, which made it uncomfortable to use. There were also not enough power outlets near the beds. The only plugs were by the desk or next to the TV, which was inconvenient for charging phones or using a laptop. The breakfast was also disappointing — several of my friends chose to go elsewhere the following morning instead. On a positive note, the location was good, about a 5-minute walk from the train station. That said, the reception staff were very friendly and did their best to help. I would likely consider other options in the future
