We were in Bristol for a wedding and needed to find somewhere in Clifton village to be close to the venue. The Rodney appealed as it had its own parking. Our check in was stress free, Leila was very helpful. The room was large and comfortable and on the ground floor, so easy to access. There is a cosy bar and an airy and beautiful dining room for breakfast and dinner. All lovely. The bed was very comfy and the fan provided was well received in the current heat! There is a lovely enclosed garden if you have time to sit and relax, we were on a tight schedule so didn't get the chance. Yusra on reception the next day was also lovely and really helpful. As my wife has terrible allergies, including a serious allergy to milk, we were really impressed with Rosie in the restaurant for breakfast, she looked after us so well. Its also worth noting that The Rodney is close to some great restaurants and pubs and walking distance to Clifton Suspension bridge. Its worth noting that as parking is first come, first served its best to try to arrive early! Also the ground floor room, whilst easier to access can be a little noisy on the weekends as they do host parties, having said this its all over by 11pm so as long as you don't need an early night (in which ask for an upstairs room) you will be fine. All in all a wonderful stay.

Just had a two night stay with my husband. Fantastic location, really comfortable beds. Massive thank you to Juan who helped sort out a mistake I had made by booking the wrong dates. I can’t thank him and his colleague enough. Such a friendly and welcoming team.

I had a really enjoyable stay at The Rodney Hotel in Clifton. The location is perfect for exploring Clifton Village and walking to the Suspension Bridge, and the hotel itself has lots of character and a cosy, friendly feel. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff were consistently welcoming and helpful throughout my visit. Overall, great value in a lovely part of Bristol – I’d be happy to stay there again

Perfect nights stay for my birthday. Room was clean and warm, bed super comfy. Thank you for our freshly ground coffee and cafetière which was an unexpected treat. Thank you to the reception team, Yusra, Juan, Suki and Katie and the night porters, Sam and Aris who looked after us so well. Our meal in the restaurant was delicious. For starters we had fresh warm bread with honey, apricot and thyme butter beautifully presented. This was followed by the best steak l've ever had, cooked to perfection. Wonderful service throughout. A big thank you to Bethan, Izzy and Charlotte for looking after us so well.
