Average hostel experience. Clean rooms and facilities and a nice chill out area, the staff member checking me in was pretty grumpy and not useful but other staff were nicer. Almost the entire stairwell was in darkness as the lights werent working which made the stairs somewhat dangerous and hard to see.

YHA Bristol is at a lovely location on the harbour side so lots of vibrant restaurants and bars nearby. It’s very convenient as you’ve the town centre nearby and a bus stop so no issue getting around. They’re a secure luggage store great if you come early. Theres a nice lounge/ eating area if you need food which is reasonably price. I can never fault the staff they’re always very helpful and friendly, no issue is hard to resolve for them! ~ everything is very smooth with check- in etc and it’s very affordable something difficult to find in Bristol on the weekend ! A special shoutout to the guy working the night shift this weekend especially friendly snd helpful in answering my questions. Most importantly lastly the rooms are always clean and secure - the other residents are always respectful and I’m always happy to stay here when I visit the city

It’s not a youth hostel. A lot of oldies in the hostel who snore a lot at night. Don’t be at 3rd floor bz they have some kids play area there. Also laundry just pay 5 pounds and you can use both wash and dry. At reception they will ask you 10 pounds - 5 for wash and 5- for dry. Just say wash 😎😁

Brilliant. Cannot fault at all. The beds are comfy, rooms are clean, spacious and ventilated with heating, mod cons like USB sockets, the bathrooms are kept clean and have hot showers, there is a huge self catering kitchen with all the utensils you need, a dining hall and restaurant serving good, reasonably priced food, a bar serving a good selection of drinks, a games room and 3 big lounges with comfy chairs and sofas. The staff are very friendly and accomodating and this YHA is in a brilliant location on the harbourside with access to lots of amenities. And best of all they have an unbeatable price for the whole of the Bristol area. Easy to book on the YHA website!
