Hotel du Vin
Step through the entrance of Hotel du Vin Bristol, into a haven of peace and tranquillity. This elegant Bistro and bar is located close to the harbourside attractions, in a top class hotel that was originally an old Sugar House. The stylish Bistro is one of the top restaurants in Bristol and has won numerous awards for both food and service.
Just inside the entrance you will find an elegant courtyard area where, if weather is good, you can enjoy lunch or sip a pre dinner drink. If the weather turns nasty step inside to the bar area and sink into one of the deep, comfortable sofas or armchairs whilst you browse the mouth-watering menu and eclectic wine list.
Classic French dishes such as Moules du Vin with Frites, Beef Bourguignon and Lobster Thermidor feature on the a la carte menu, alongside a selection of steaks that have been dry aged on the bone for at least 28 days. A variety of wines recommended by the Sommelier are shown on the back of the menu, or make your choice from 500 vintages on the more extensive wine list.
A less formal lunch menu is available - ideal if you are looking for a short break from sightseeing or shopping. You can opt for two or three set price courses or choose from a variety of salads and sandwiches. Don't forget to look at the temptations on the dessert menu. Who can resist a delicious Hot Chocolate Fondant with hazelnut ice cream or a delectable Crepes Suzette Flambe?

Sunday Lunch at Hotel du Vin: Le Brunch is available from Noon until 4pm every Sunday priced at £22.95 per person for 4 courses. Start with a heart warming soup, then indulge in a delicious choice of fresh seafood, crustacea, charcuterie, pâtés, rilletes, a selection of salads, vegetables and freshly baked artisan breads from the French Market Table. Follow this with one of the Sunday lunch favourites such as the traditional roast and finally enjoy desserts such as rhubarb crumble and crème brulee. For larger parties, this menu is also available in the private dining rooms.
The Sommelier's Table in the Wine Cellar: Take this opportunity to experience the very best that Hotel du Vin has to offer. Following canapés and Champagne in the Sugar Bar, Ben Austin, the Head Sommelier, will accompany you to the wine cellar. Here you will enjoy a six course meal at The Sommeliers Table. A specially selected glass of wine will be served with each course - Ben will talk you through each one. Following the meal hand made chocolate truffles and coffee will be served. Maximum booking is for six people and the experience is priced at £85 per person.
Traditional Afternoon Tea: Served every day between 2pm and 5pm this is the perfect way to while away an afternoon! A pot of tea of your choosing, finger sandwiches, a slice of tea loaf, cream cake, a freshly baked scone with strawberry preserve and a dollop of fresh clotted cream. To make the occasion extra special why not add a glass of champagne, cocktail or G&T served in a tea cup? Priced from £14.50 per person dependant on your choice of afternoon tea (pre-booking is required).
