We walked by the Avon river and randomly chose this restaurant for lunch. The food was flawless!! We ordered the three course from the seasonal menu. The starter was fresh and made us appetising. The portion of the main was just right, followed by a dessert with perfect balance of acidity and sweetness. The atmosphere was cozy, and service was warm and comfortable. Highly recommend here.
Wow! Birthday treat, we had the Signature Menu with one Wine-Flight and one Non-Alcoholic Drinks Flight, sampling every item on the menu by sharing. The detail on the plates is stunning and the flavours packed into each bite incredible! Lovely atmosphere, attentive and intelligent service, very cool to be able to watch the kitchen and observe the care and love at the pass, and a nice touch to speak to one of the chef's after the meal. Highlight for me was the Beef Fillet with Liver Parfait, coupled with the incredible Sundried Tomato and Jus was an incredible flavour. Melt in the mouth deliciousness! The Blackberry Soufflé was also fantastic, how so much flavour can be packed into each mouthful is a marvel 👏🏻 Definitely reserving this restaurant for more visits... 😍
A rare classy meal for us last night at The Chef’s Table in Bristol’s Harbourside. We had the tasting menu with wine pairings. Fine dining at its finest. More than once, we channelled our inner Greg Wallace to rave that ‘that was a lovely saucer of food!’ There was more gravy for the chicken, tarragon and morel entrée than there was soup for the asparagus potage. It is all about quality, rather than quantity. The intensity of flavours coming out of the ratatouille meant that they only needed to serve half a teaspoon to convey its essence. It tasted very similar to Trace’s version that she cooks in a big pot and she now knows how Jesus fed the 5,000. The palate cleanser mint sorbet was divine, but our favourite course was the scallop with mashed potato and a herb-crusted brioche bun, served in a clamshell. Our best wine was the Bodegas Emilio Moro, Tempranillo, Ribera del Duero from Spain, a full-bodied red, after a series of pleasant whites. A busy kitchen, a cosy restaurant for a couple of dozen diners with a good atmosphere, fabulous food and wine, an enthusiastic and engaging staff, led by Conrad. We had a great evening. 10/10.
What an unbelievably lovely place this is! My Wife and I visited The Chef’s Table for my Wife’s birthday celebration, and it was a fabulous experience indeed! We opted for the tasting menu, combined with the wine flight. Each and every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavour, so delicious! The wines were all lovely and combined extremely well with each course. A shout out to the staff that made our experience extra special. They were very attentive and friendly. Their knowledge on the wines was second to none, and the kitchen staff clearly have lots of passion for the food they prepared for us. I highly recommend The Chef’s Table, whether it’s for a special occasion or just a really nice evening out. This is a memory that’ll last a lifetime, such a lovely restaurant.
Absolutely perfect meal from start to finish! We were a table of 6 for the 3pm Sunday service, and absolutely loved every second. The selection of starters were a real variety of things that we wouldn’t normally try but were so delicate and we loved each of them. The soup was velvety and unbelievable tasty and the roast incredibly filling!! We all had different puddings from the trolley and were all impressed. The staff were all super attentive and made great conversation, but also good at letting us enjoy our catch up throughout the meal. 10/10 all of us will be recommending to friends, thank you!!
